The entire design is from my personal thoughts. They do not have any support from user research. It's just an idea.
Eating disorder is a kind of mental disorder defined by abnormal eating habits that negatively affect a person's physical and/or mental health. Someone says the patients are controlled by calories. Someone says they are extra. Binge eating disorder (BED), as a kind of eating disorder, is a severe, life-threatening, and treatable eating disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of eating large quantities of food (often very quickly and to the point of discomfort). If we search relative keywords on Chinese social media, there are countless people struggling in negative emotions brought by BED. Some of them are with relatively light influence: they might only have negative feelings after one or two eatings. Some are more severe: they do exercises as crazy to compensate for their eating. And some’s life is being threatened: they have been repeated the process of eating and vomiting so many times that their bodies are significantly damaged. However, because of the lack of attention to the whole mental health in China, many patients don’t have the awareness or resources to get professional medical treatment, so they only try to seek help on social media.
“Appetite” becomes a horrible word to them.
I was them.
But fortunately, my situation was not that severe. In the extremely long recovering, there is an idea that comes to my mind for lot of times: In case that many patients cannot deal with their appetite, what if they can or someone can help train them to face, record, and manage their appetite? Will this help them recover even a little bit?

Keep track of the users’ mental state and feelings of every eating. They need to evaluate their level of satisfaction and feeling of fullness. In this way, they can have a chance to sit down and think about their status after every eating. So they can try to distinguish between physically and mentally hungry. This may prepare them for being rational the next time.
At the end of each day, the users can review their notes and grade their being. They may be able to speculate their relationship with food and deal with their appetite in a better way.
The users can check the history to recall any special events they need to be careful of.
Also, by seeing the trends, users can feel their changes in a more direct way and might be able to find any patterns in it. So if similar things or triggers happen next time, they can be more prepared to manage their reactions.
A place to share the feelings and stories about eating.
Users can record noteworthy events with images and share them with the whole community. They can also send out invitations to the whole community to eat with others instead of stuffing themselves with food on their own.
